Regular Exercise Stress Test
A Regular stress test involves increasing workload on a treadmill until a target heart rate is reached. The patient is hooked up to a 12 lead ECG machine as well as a blood pressure monitor.
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK anything for 4 hours. You may have NO CAFFEINE (this includes foods, beverages or any medications such as Tylenol #2, 3 or Excedrin) for 24 hours before the exam. If you are diabetic, you may fast for only 2 hours before your appointment. Please wear a short sleeve shirt with buttons going all the way down and a clean pair of running shoes. Please bring your current medications with you.
