Heart (Echocardiogram)
- Leads will need to be placed on your chest, so wear flexible clothing, that can be removed from the waist up.
- Sometimes your chest may need to be shaved or cleaned so the electrodes can be properly attached.
- Continue to take your medications as normal unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early, bring your requisition (unless your physician already submitted it on your behalf), Alberta Health Care card (or out of town province health care card), and photo identification with you to your exam!
- Please note that your exam may be conducted by either a male or female technologist. If you have a preference and would like to request a specific gender, please notify us in advance so that we can accommodate your request when scheduling your appointment.
