Radiologists

Insight Medical Imaging is a radiologist-owned and operated practice. We’re not only a diagnostic imaging provider for Albertans, we’re also a talent destination for the best and brightest in the industry.

We have a blended clinic and hospital-based practice with 27 radiologist partners and associates. Our multi-modality clinics are located throughout the capital region and offer access to 1.5T MRI, 64-slice CT, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, nuclear medicine, pain management, and women’s imaging.

All of our radiologists are registered members with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and we encourage all of our partners and associates to continue their medical education through subspecialty training in modalities of interest.

This position will work Monday to Friday with some rotating on-call evening and weekend work.

Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Planning/configuration/maintenance of our Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco and Aruba routing/switch infrastructure – with a goal of zero business downtime, utilizing redundancy (equipment/services) as appropriate.
  • Managing connectivity and system resiliency between multiple data centers and locations.
  • VMWare administration including vSphere & NSX-T
  • Network security and optimization.
  • Assisting with the management of an enterprise VOIP phone system, including call center and faxing.
  • Developing and executing business continuity processes.
  • There is plenty more to keep you engaged (servers, storage, and more – no shortage of work/projects here)!
  • Supporting industry-specific and custom-built applications.
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule (one-week rotation).

 Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Advanced understanding of networking and telephony. Practical experience with OSPF/BGP is highly beneficial.

Job Description

As a Receptionist, you play an integral role in all our journeys, by ensuring that we continue to provide reliable, accurate, and compassionate services to our patients, referring physicians, and your coworkers.

As the first point of contact in the clinic, you will set the tone for our patient journey within the clinic, as such we expect that you will enter every interaction with respect and dignity by providing every patient with clear, detailed, and timely care.

Your main responsibilities will include checking patients in for exams, booking follow-up studies as required, coordinating patients for multiple exams, ensuring that all front desk responsibilities are completed, all while ensuring a smooth patient and clinic flow.

Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Greeting and checking in of all patients.
  • Documentation of patient information on computer.
  • Notifies appropriate department of patient arrival.
  • Ensures all previous examinations are imported.
  • Porter and change patients in preparation for exams.
  • Answering phones and directing calls to the correct recipient when necessary.
  • Handle all incoming reports and image requests.
  • Requesting previous exams from outside facilities.
  • Looking up and importing previous studies prior to the arrival of scheduled patients.
  • Photocopying, faxing, mailing.
  • Order and maintain adequate office inventory.
  • Constant communication with Diagnostic Imaging staff.

  • Instructs patients on examination requested.
  • Assist in the instruction of new staff as requested by Ultrasound Manager/ Ultrasound Coordinator.
  • Maintains quality control in performance of all procedures.
  • Assist Radiologist or fellow staff members.
  • Replenish inventory supplies in rooms.
  • Responsible for general patient care and safety.
  • Notify Ultrasound Coordinator/ Site Lead of inadequate inventory, equipment problems or any problems encountered during your shift.
